9 Architecture Studio is a freelance Architecture and Interior Architecture consultancy studio. It is aiming to have a diverse body of work including residential, commercial, cultural, leisure projects as well as masterplanning and township exercises which currently references the past Principal's work during his previous employers.

It is our objective to produce simple Architecture and Interior Architecture that enrich people's lives by doing good work to arrive at a solution by keeping it simple.

SINGLE DETACHED
RESIDENCE
MANILA, PHILIPPINES (2002)
A completed modern residence for a young couple.
One of the residential projects that was managed and worked on by a team of two during my work tenure at Lor Calma Design Associates. The additional participation in the design process was to proportion the whole volume in terms of scale for the structural and the additional comfort considerations of the occupants.
LINCOLN VILLA
RESIDENTIAL ESTATE
BEIJING, CHINA (2004)
Designed nine types of single detached residences for the middle class marketed estate.
My first project at Zeidler Partnership Architecture, Inc. was to design these nine modern residential types for the estate. The project was immediately approved after the client presentation of the new designs.
RESIDENTIAL TOWER
MANILA, PHILIPPINES (2011)
A proposed student dormitory for two nearby educational institutions.
An Architecture geared towards decent living accommodations for students studying within the near proximity. Commercial provisions are the ground floor staple to support the students' basic needs in terms of utilities and domestic living away from their own homes.
FUZHOU VILLA
FUZHOU, CHINA (2006)
An adaptive re-use residential project was the objective and challenge to design and build around an existing structure with an unorthodox structural grid.
At BLVD International, work for this project necessitated simplification of the areas in terms of volume while considering the existing structural columns. With the team's efforts, we had produced an Architecture that the client agreed to. Construction commenced not long after the presentation.

WUZHOU, CHINA (2006)
Residential options for the growing lower and middle income bachelors and families.
The team and I, at BLVD International, had worked together in producing these options and images for the client. It was approved much to our delight. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to see the completion of it's construction.
SUBURBAN RESIDENCE
TAGAYTAY, PHILIPPINES (1996)
A residential weekend retreat for a retired couple.
The architecture was already constructed when we were commissioned for the interior project. The clients desired a simple and homey ambiance for their home.
THE ARCH RESIDENCE
KOWLOON, HONG KONG (2009)
Residential interior renovation for a new owner.
During the work period at Krispace, Ltd. in Hong Kong, one jewellery shop client wanted one of his properties renovated. The 200 square meter space required that renovation with a light ambience. The project imagery entailed a somewhat simplified conservative design that worked well with contemporary furniture pieces.
RESIDENTIAL CONDOMINIUM
MAKATI, PHILIPPINES (1996)
An interior renovation project located at the Central Business District.
A lot of objects were amassed during their stay and would like to simplify the interior imagery by a simple design that would conceal their clutter. Hence, applying amounts of storage between the existing walls and the enclosure.
GAMING AREA RENOVATIONS
Solaire Casino and Hotel
Manila, Philippines
The renovation design had been set by another designer. The team’s role here to make the technical drawings work in terms of construction. This was the start of various areas within the casino that will undergo design renovation and repeat the same process.
THE VENETIAN
PARCEL 5 & 6 PROJECT
COTAI, MACAU (2009)
Numerous work areas worked on a step at a time.
Of the various groups working on this project, my team and I at Aedas Hong Kong worked on various areas within the vast complex that ranged from the pool and cabana area to the marquee of one of the entrances to the resolving design and construction issues surrounding the daily completion of the project as a whole.
HOTEL PROJECT
BEIJING, CHINA (2006)
A proposed western imagery designed hotel interior with subtle asian elements.
At BLVD International in Shenzhen City, the team and I worked on assigned areas to design and I was tasked to design the various bedroom areas. Collectively, we completed the designs and were implemented in the construction with minimal revision.
SERVICE APARTMENT LOBBY
MANILA, PHILIPPINES (2017)
A proposed interior design project having a Spanish modern themed lobby and habitable rooms .
A local developer had assigned two residential towers within an estate as service apartments. These were themed as modern Spanish design. The areas to be applied were the lobby, a one-bedroom units and a two-bedroom units.
RESIDENTIAL TOWER FLAT
MANILA, PHILIPPINES (2017)
A proposed simple modern themed designed two-bedroom unit for a property developer.
The developer desired to market this design for young couples and the mid-income working class.
SERVICE APARTMENT
MANILA, PHILIPPINES (2017)
An upcoming property developer's required youthful imagery for a proposed service apartment interior design marketed for yuppies.
The target market accommodations image is to have a simple and youthful vibe of the place.
GIRLS' BEDROOM
MAKATI, PHILIPPINES (2017)
A simple and modern designed girl's bedroom.
The simple bedroom is mexican inspired and applicable to the the tropical conditions of Metro Manila. Light natural wood and bright colors make for a cheerful ambience.
ZHONGHANG OFFICE (CATIC)
SHENZHEN, CHINA (2005)
A marketing office for a property developer.
An up and coming developer commissioned BLVD International for their office design requirements. The owners required a marketing office that will appeal to the growing number of yuppies in Shenzhen City. The proposal was to apply a dynamic design to catch their attention and give the impression of the design imagery that equates to their stature.

SHUNFENG EXPRESS OFFICE
GUANGZHOU, CHINA (2006)
Corporate Interior Project for the famous courier in China; the counterpart of FedEx or UPS.
Also at BLVD International, the team and I worked on this corporate project. The owners liked the imagery and vibrance it exudes and coincided with their revamped image branding so much that they had BLVD design the other offices in the other major chinese cities.

SHENZHEN NANHAI OFFICE
SHENZHEN, CHINA (2006)
A former Sanyo factory site retained its structural elements for an adaptive re-use corporate structure.
Owner, China Merchants Bank is the of the property and commissioned BLVD as the designer for this Architecture and Interior Design project. The new structure was to become the new headquarters for the bank. The main feature of the building is the indoor garden. Extending the outdoors onto indoors with greenery and water features.

SHEKOU CONTAINER TERMINAL

A Shipping Container Building Office with two Lobby Designs.
The owners of this Shipping Container Building commissioned BLVD to design their office lobby interiors located in a government office building complex in Shekou. This design exercise had given BLVD more building lobby projects because it had won an award from CIID.
DIANJI TECHNOLOGIES OFFICE
BEIJING, CHINA (2003)
The upcoming then Dianji Technologies locates their Beijing satellite office.
Beijing Dianji Technology Co., Ltd. engages in the research, development, and supply of Internet collaboration software and instant messaging platforms. In 2003, Beijing Da Xin Shi office is commissioned by the Dianji owner to design their satellite Beijing office.

KOWLOON, HONG KONG (2009)
A proposed flagship store at the time.
At Krispace, Inc., the design approach was akin to or like a museum where the timepieces on display as if it were "museum" pieces. Particular attention was applied to the lighting in order to acquire a good drama display.
MALL FOOD COURT PROJECT
QUEZON CITY, PHILIPPINES (2001)
Proposed interior design food retail area.
A 1,200 square meters of food and dining area constituted the vast area of this mall's food hall. Design-wise, orientation and wayfinding signages were key elements for this interior project. We were able to articulate the ceiling and the floor surface to orient people where they are within the area.
KAIYUAN MALL
JINAN, CHINA (2004)
One of the first mall project to be constructed in Jinan, China.
At Zeidler Architecture Partnership, Inc., consisted of a lot of team members working on this project . I was assigned to work out the details of the custom designed steel exterior modular cladding and organize the process in which it would be installed.
OLYMPIC FOREST PARK
BEIJING, CHINA (2004)
A design contribution to the people of China.
A freelance opportunity in Beijing with the design department at Tsinghua University led me to this. The concept imagery shown aligns itself with the birds' nest in Beijing's Olympic Area. The Olympic forest, aside from its natural features, will accommodate a retail/subway station. The image shows the retail and subway station are covered under the thickness of concrete and earth and only exposing a huge promenade wherein thousands of people can gather to decide where in the park they would like to walk to. It also incorporates an outdoor stage for concerts with a view of a man-made lake that has a water feature resembling that of a Las Vegas Hotel and Casino.
ZHONG GUAN CUN MALL
ZHONGGUANCUN, CHINA (2004)
Proposed masterplanning of numerous and integrated retail areas.
My participation in this retail project is to design the various typical prefab module design of each building. The design is varied to make it to make each building distinct. The first mall at the time for this growing city in China.
CIUDADES TOWN CENTER
DAVAO, PHILIPPINES (2014)
Town/Retail Master Planning for the suburban Davao area.
At a 100,000 square meters of retail site, the team and I at DQA Design, at the time, worked on numerous revisions on this before the final layout was approved.
PHILIPPINE TRADE PAVILION, HANNOVER, GERMANY (1998)
The design commemorates the Philippines as the host of the trade fair during that year.
During my work period at Lor Calma Design Associates, Inc., the team and I were tasked to complete the plans and details of the pavilion.  I was assigned to liaise with the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM) as part of the work to interview each participant for the trade fair.  The design feature of the pavilion were "sails" based from the Philippine Vinta, designed by our Design Principal.  Overall, it expressed an "indigenous" layout and imagery in promoting industrial products from the Philippines.

A centennial commemorative project by the Swiss watch brand, Swatch.
Again at Lor Calma Design Associates, Inc., we were given the design work for a timepiece tower.  I was tasked to design the tower which was submitted to the design principals.  The owners approved the proposed design and was produced and located in various areas of Metro Manila.

The design imagery commemorates the Philippines as the host of the trade fair during that year.

PHILIPPINES (1997)
A centennial commemorative project by the Swiss watch brand, Swatch.
Through the local distributor, Swatch, and Bank Of The Philippine Islands commissioned the Lor Calma Design workplace for the tower design. I was tasked to design the Tower sketches were produced for selection and was submitted to the design principals. The owners approved the proposed design and several were manufactured and located in various areas of Metro Manila.
